New Range Record Apr 05 2010 78 miles on a single charge Westminster, CO April 5th, 2010 – Duke’s Garage announced today that they have set a new range record. One of the current project is converting a 2001 Ford Ranger to all electric. In initial range tests, the vehicle was able to go 78 miles before complete battery discharge. “This surprised all of us” say Phil Lyman, engineering consultant for the battery management systems. “We kept the speed to a constant 40 m.p.h and expected a range of maybe 50 miles, but 78 miles creates the performance people need for real world use.” Read More

There are additional rebates for cities/counties & charitable organizations. The credit is based on the difference between the cost of replacing the power source and the cost of the same or most similar power source that uses a traditional fuel. “These are the type of incentives that will help local Colorado companies compliment our investments to create jobs and products people want for the new green economy” says Co-Founder Melisse Perre. Duke’s Garage inks JV Porsche replica deal Mar 25 2010 Westminster, CO March 25th, 2010 – Fancy driving a 1957 Porsche Speedster replica that is all electric, pollution free and costs 3 cents per mile to drive? How about a 1955 Spyder convertible instead? These are just two of the four electric vehicles being launched by Duke’s Garage in the Denver Metro Area. Duke’s Garage signed an agreement with Beck Motors to create the Speedster and eSpyder. Beck Motors of Bremen, Indiana has built replica sports cars based on the 1957 Porsche 356A Speedster and 1955 Porsche Spyder for the past 20 years. In the agreement, Duke’s Garage agrees to sell and support the traditional Beck vehicles as well as offer an all electric option. Read More
